With seven residences in total, but only five remaining, the Parque on Oxford apartments in Oxford Terrace, have placed an emphasis on privacy as well as low maintenance design and beautiful finishes.

They say size matters – and for some it certainly does when it comes to buying a property.

The privacy, storage and contemporary design of Velocity Property Group’s Parque on Oxford apartments and town homes are giving downsizers strong reasons to place Taringa on their desirable location list, with sales already being made at the recently-launched development.

With construction on the three-bedroom apartments now complete, the emphasis on storage has been well received from buyers.

A focus on large, open-plan living and dining areas and an airy, bright feel thanks to clever design that makes the most of the urban outlook has also been a hit.

The Parque on Oxford apartments were designed in a modernist style to create sophisticated, large, executive residences that could be located anywhere in the world.

Designed by HAL Architects in Brisbane, the building feels substantial, sleek and solid and features a sculptural design piece to anchor its two sides.

The internal spaces in Parque on Oxford are very spacious.

Five of the seven apartments remain available in the development on Oxford Terrace, with their emphasis on privacy as well as low maintenance design and beautiful finishes. Priced from $995,000, the apartments are generously sized from 183sq m to 254sq m, with most featuring a media room or office.

Located next door, the Parque on Oxford town homes are due for completion early next year. They range in size from 225sq m to 313sq m and are priced from $1,099,000.

The 11 town homes were designed with a subtropical, modern-Queenslander feel to capture the height and elevation of the location.

Featuring three levels, superb finishes and ample storage, they also offer the option of a lift inclusion for the future in some residences thanks to foresighted planning and architecture.

In addition to the Parque on Oxford residences, Velocity Property Group has also built freehold homes in Ellerslie Crescent in Taringa to capitalise on city views and an elevated position. Only two of these remain.

Velocity Property Group national sales director Caroline Humbert has sold property projects for over 15 years and now sells luxury apartments, town homes and freehold homes to Velocity’s primarily downsizer audience.

Ms Humbert said there were four key ingredients that downsizers were seeking in town homes or apartments and all are delivered at Parque on Oxford.

“The first ingredient is storage, storage and more storage. Downsizing is not about sacrificing everything you have gathered for many years to move into a smaller residence. It is about taking what you truly love into your new home and being able to store that comfortably,” Ms Humbert said

“The second thing downsizers seek are the best finishes possible. Many downsizers see this stage of their life as their final, forever home, so they want to enjoy the best kitchens and bathrooms they have ever had.

“The third ingredient is lock up and leave living. Downsizers have time to pursue their interests and travel and being able to go in the knowledge that their home is secure and doesn’t need upkeep while they are gone is a priority.

“The final ingredient is location. Downsizers want to be close to the services, shops and lifestyle factors that they enjoy, and Taringa delivers for proximity to the city, and an abundance of options for dining, shopping and more in the heart of Brisbane’s inner west.

“Velocity Property Group is looking at a range of locations throughout Brisbane in 2020 to create more desirable residences for downsizers, just like these at Parque on Oxford, Taringa.”
