Koolewong Marina is on the market.

It is home to some of the Coast’s most opulent boats, catering for vessels up to 30m long and offering 71 wet berths, a two-storey commercial building and 45 car spaces.

The near-new Koolewong Marina, which opened in February 2017, has now been listed for sale via Knight Frank’s Richard Garland and Anthony Pirrottina with price expectations of above $6 million.

Owned by Les Binkin and Symantha Suprain, it is the sister to Lake Macquarie’s Marmong Point Marina, which has also been listed for sale.

Marmong Marina in Lake Macquarie is the bigger of the two marinas.

Both properties can be sold as a $29 million plus package, or separately.

The marina’s supervisor Jeff Weber previously told the Express Advocate that the marina was built to support Central Coast growth and development.

He said that the marina had attracted a broad client base with people bringing boats from Queensland, Tasmania, Port Stephens and a lot of different areas of Sydney.

“For people that live in Sydney, it can still take them an hour and a half to get to a Sydney marina,” Mr Weber said.

“They can just jump on a train to here or drive and not have to worry about tolls, parking or the hustle and bustle of Sydney Harbour.”

Marmong Point Marina in Lake Macquarie is one of the longest boating destinations in NSW and comprises of approximately 50,000 square metres, including 10,000 sqm of freehold service yard and 235 wet berths.


According to Anthony Pirrottina from Knight Frank, there is anticipation that both marinas will appeal to a wide range of owner operators and investors, as they present an “excellent opportunity to acquire an investment with reliable income and upside potential.”

“Gosford and the NSW Central Coast remain one of the fastest growing population precincts in NSW, underpinning demand well into the future. Particularly given the marina’s proximity to the Koolewong Train Station and direct access to the Central Coast Highway,” he said.
