Little Projects construction director Paris Lechte said Little Projects appointed Hickory due to their innovative approach and proven ability to deliver high quality buildings.
“Hickory is at the forefront of innovative construction methodology and has patented its own building technology, which allows them to maximise productivity, with quality and safety on site of paramount importance,” Lechte said.
Hickory and Little Projects have a close working relationship, delivering a number projects, including ILK South Yarra and Central South Yarra.
“The Hyatt Centric brand encourages exploration and discovery with each hotel serving as a launch pad for adventurous guests to immerse themselves in a destination,” Hyatt vice president Robert Dawson said.
“Hyatt Centric Melbourne is designed to reflect Melbourne’s cosmopolitan vibe, vibrant street culture and rich history, and inspire guests to venture out and explore the neighbourhood.”
The full-service lifestyle hotel, which is expected to open in 2020, follows the addition the Hyatt Centric Hobart earlier this year and the opening of the Hyatt Centric Ginza in Tokyo in 2018.
