all eyes north for family houses ahead of bumper auction weekend

Written by The ReReport

A family home with a garden is in huge demand this week. This one is in Pymble.

Freestanding family houses around the $1 million mark dominate the hot auctions this bumper auction weekend in NSW.
The top ten most viewed properties online that are going under the hammer this weekend are remarkably alike. They are almost all stand alone houses, seven of the ten are north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and most are sitting in a garden.
The second Saturday in November is traditionally one of the biggest auction days of the year as buyers select a new home with the chance of moving in before Christmas.
There are now six Saturdays until Christmas which is the standard 42 day settlement period.
Topping the most viewed properties in NSW is a three-bedroom single-level house on the northern beaches. Number 21 Knightsbridge Ave, Belrose is on 835sqm of land about 200m from Belrose Public School.
Karen Terry, of McGrath Estate Agents, said the $1.05 million price guide was a big attraction for families wanting to get into the northern beaches.
“The land is a lovely but there are restrictions on the block because of a powerline easement,” she said.
“Most people are looking to go up or enjoy the home with the big garden,” she said.

The second most viewed property is a brand new four-bedroom house near the Norwest Train Station. Number 21 Stone Mason Dr, Bella Vista also has an auction guide of $1.05 million. The house is also walking distance from Norwest Marketown, Castle Hill Golf Club, city buses and minutes drive to Castle Towers.
