THIS house has more bathrooms than it does bedrooms.
That’s right, the house at 93 Outlook Cres, Bardon, has six bathrooms and five bedrooms across its three levels.
On the middle level are two bedrooms, a family room with a fireplace, a wine cellar, powder room and a rumpus room with a full wet bar.
The rumpus opens out to an alfresco dining area and the pool.
On the top level are three more bedrooms, a laundry, and an open plan kitchen, living and dining area.
Each bedroom is ensuited, and on the top floor is an extra bathroom
Between the bathrooms and powder room, there are seven toilets.
But it was the location of this Bardon property that sold it to Greg and Melanie Ryan when they bought it nine years ago.
Mr Ryan said they had moved from Ashgrove and believed there was nowhere else like it in Brisbane.
“There’s nowhere else in Brisbane like it that has a full view of the city, is 5km from the city and has Mount Coot-Tha (Reserve) at the back fence,” Mr Ryan said.
“The house is incredibly quiet because there is no reason for anyone to come up here.”
Mr Ryan said the home had been great for entertaining, and they had raised two daughters there.
“It was a magnificent family home,” he said.
“It’s an excellent house for entertaining too.
“It’s got a big entertaining room with a bar and kitchen downstairs, so we’ve had a 50th, two 18th birthdays and a 21st there.”
His favourite room, however, was the main bedroom.
“The master bedroom has a full view of the city,” he said.
“It was superb and there is so much birdlife in that area.”
Mr Ryan said they often took advantage of the fact the property backed onto bushland.
“There are some lovely walking tracks into the mountains.”
He believed the house would suit a professional couple with children.
