The new owners of this Bella Vista mansion won’t have to venture outdoors to get their feet wet this summer.
The incredible residence at 12 Montpellier Rise has a unique water feature running through the home and outside to a mosaic tiled swimming pool and spa. The property has just achieved the highest price paid in the suburb this year after selling for $3.1m.
Agent Mechlenne Douaihy said a young family from the Parramatta area fell in love with the home just days after it was listed on the market.
“It is pretty unique – everything has been designed around the pool,” she said.
“There is a large glass wall where you look straight onto the pool from the foyer and when you stand there, you are actually standing above water on frosted glass. It used to be clear but people thought they were falling into the water.
“There is also an open water feature built into like a little gully inside – so you could actually put your feet into the water.”
There was no shortage of curious potential buyers keen to inspect the five bedroom residence set on a 823 sqm block in the exclusive Bella Vista Waters Estate.
The property, which is a five-minute drive to the local Metro station, also features a three tier atrium, home theatre and four-person elevator. It has a stone kitchen, butler’s pantry, timber flooring and guest accommodation.
“When buyers walk into the home they were amazed and loved the feel of the property – it was something they had never seen before,” Ms Douaihy said.
“Everyone liked it – it was just whether they had the money.
“The buyer told me it was the home he had always dreamt of owning.”
According to CoreLogic RP Data, it is only the second disclosed sale in excess of $3m recorded in Bella Vista this year. The other sale was 16 Stonybrook Terrace which sold for $3.045m in March this year.
