IT looks like any other house from the street but what’s behind this Sanctuary Cove residence’s towering front entrance tells a different story.
Bold features including a marble-look front door, black kitchen ceiling and textured walls highlight its daring style.
But that’s to be expected in the home of property expert and real estate royalty Andrew Winter.
The Selling Houses Australia and Love it or List It host is the artistic mastermind behind the Marine Drive East property.
He and wife Caroline spent a year transforming the once Tuscan-inspired house into a luxurious and modern home.
While the couple renovated it from top to bottom, they decided to stick with its solid bones.
“What we didn’t change was the original architecture or layout of the build,” Winter said when it hit the market.
“It had the most perfect orientation for its block, all the bits that need the sun get the sun and the bits that need shade get shade.”

While Winter is no stranger to flipping homes, he said each and every property presented challenges.
“The most important thing we have learnt is nothing ever goes completely to plan, the hardest part is the management of the whole thing,” he said.
The house is U-shaped with a resort-style, landscaped courtyard and 15m pool at its heart. The kitchen is a highlight with a black ceiling and feature lighting accentuating its finer details, including gold tapware and porcelain benchtops, while lighter hues in the adjoining living and dining areas offer a stark contrast.
Glass stacker doors allow a seamless flow between the living area and waterside terrace, which overlooks the Coomera River.
The main bedroom shares the water views from its own deck, which can also be accessed from the ensuite.
Each of the remaining bedrooms, all of which have ensuites, open onto the central courtyard.
A pontoon and triple garage are also part of the package.
It is listed with Amir Prestige Property Agents’ Charlon Delos Angeles and Amir Mian with an asking price ranging between $2.95 million and $3.25 million.
