Just like the street name suggests, it is the view that makes this Burleigh Heads house so special.
The three-storey property’s views stretch along the coastline, capturing the beach and Surfers Paradise skyline.
Owner Kerrie Urquhart said the coastal vista was what made her sign the dotted line.
“(Burleigh Heads) was my ideal place … to be but I didn’t think we’d ever be able to live there,” she said.
She has lived in the property, which stepped into the hill, with her husband Mark for more than a decade.
While the house was new when the couple bought it in 2005, they have done a lot of work to it over the years to transform it into the home of their dreams.
“We repainted it and recarpeted upstairs and we put security screens on so they’re on every door,” Mrs Urquhart said.
The main living areas are on the middle level and flow onto a balcony.
“I’m a cook so I love my kitchen but probably my favourite (spot) would be the balcony,” Mrs Urquhart said.
She often watched the boats sail past on the horizon while she was cooking dinner.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a study as well as a terrace and garden.
The ground level is dedicated to the two-car garage. The couple were reluctant to sell but said it was time to move on.
The three-bedroom house at 16 View St has a $1.55 million price tag and is being marketed by Kollosche agents Eoghan Murphy and Michael Kollosche.
