Written by The ReReport

A BUYER moving west to east to be near family has splurged more than $2 million on a rare new luxury home in Wantirna South.
The stunning two-storey house at 3 Avoca Way has two main bedrooms and impressive finishes throughout.
It fetched $2.075 million after several offers prior to a scheduled October 13 auction.
The French provincial-style home was built by two part-time developers who had paid $812,000 for the block two years ago, sales records show.

The result was the second sale above $2 million in the suburb this year, with just a handful of Wantirna South homes selling for such sums.
“The buyers were very keen to move closer to family and didn’t want the property to go to auction,” LLC Real Estate agent Shirley Zhao said.
The property had a price guide of $1.8-$1.98 million, with the vendors happy to accept the generous offer above $2 million.

“The house attracted more than 50 groups in just two weeks and there are very few French provincial-style homes in the suburb,” Ms Zhao said.
“The home’s main attractions are the prestigious location, being in the Templeton Primary School zone, and the quality build.”
Several buyers had offers in the $1.8-$1.9 million range for the grand home with 550sq m of living on a 650sq m block.
