A home in Sydney’s southwest was set to go under the hammer when a price offer came in that was too good for the vendors to refuse.
On a 702 sqm parcel of land in Cecil Hills, the five-bedroom house at 3 Amelia Close drew plenty of interest during its three weeks on the market.
The property sold for $1.35 million through United Agents Property Group’s Nathan Ellul and Joe Mazzaferro.
“We had over 80 inspections during those three weeks and then a woman who was ready to move came in with a signed contract,” Mr Ellul told the Liverpool Leader.
“We were hoping to get that sort of money but the feedback wasn’t at that level yet, so when the buyer came in with that offer we went back to the sellers and accepted,” he said.
According to CoreLogic records, the vendors were the original owners who had been there since 2000, when they paid $259,000.
Mr Ellul said they had renovated the kitchen and bathrooms as well as repainted in recent years.
Set across one sprawling level, the home has built-in wardrobe to all bedrooms plus a large ensuite to the main.
The main bathroom features floor-to-ceiling tiles, modern wall recesses, a double sink and a freestanding bath.
At the heart of the house are a series of living spaces which connect to the stylish kitchen. It has glass splashbacks, stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar.

Coming in as the region’s top sale last week, the property fetched far more than the suburb’s median house price of $881,680.
