WAITING on the wings worked out perfectly for a couple looking to secure a future retirement home in Ocean Grove.
The Melbourne couple did not bid but watched the auction of 1/38 Trevally Drive, which was passed in to another party.
Negotiations stalled with that party at $665,000 before the couple put in an offer of $680,000 and secured the property.

“It will be their retirement home down the track but will lease it for the short term,” Mr Ingham said.
