HOMEBUYERS will be swapping inner western Newport for Highton’s riverside precinct after securing a four-bedroom house at the weekend.
The buyers made a $755,000 bid at Saturday’s auction for the elevated house at 7 Jellindale Court, Highton, before the property was passed in.

Hodges, Geelong West agent Jeff Begg said the couple later agreed to pay $800,000 for the property, which is near Barwon Blvd.
“They were Melbourne buyers that were interested from the start,” Mr Begg said.
“They are living in Newport at the moment and are moving to Geelong purely for lifestyle
“They will live so close to the river and there are heaps of schools they can choose from to send their little ones through.”

Timber parquetry floors and high-end kitchen appliances are some of the features of the house at the top of the court that has large living spaces and an attractive garden outlook.
A separate formal living and dining room has a leafy aspect with views across the river towards the city skyline.
The house last sold in December, 2016 for $675,000.
