Tasmania’s most viewed home June 27-July 4, 7 Reid Street, Moonah.

THE “gorgeous street appeal” of this early 1920s has caught the eye of property hunters.

With its classic, charming features, level allotment and well-established gardens, this three-bedroom family home was viewed on more than any other Tassie listing last week.

Ripple Realty property consultant Mel Shutt described this house as having gorgeous street appeal, Tasmanian oak floorboards and generous bedrooms.

“It has some beautiful period features,” she said.

“Some of the house has been renovated and it is very liveable.

“The bathroom and kitchen are basic although functional, so the property enables people to move in and further improve their property when they are able.

“Lots of potential buyers commented that they liked that there were some things they can improve on with the property without needing to complete a full renovation.”

Relax by the fire.

Light and bright.

This property at No.7 Reid Street, Moonah, has an original fireplace with a wood heater in the living room, as well as picture rails, dado panelling and French doors that open to a deck.

The master bedroom has a study nook and built-in wardrobes, while the second bedroom has built-ins and a fireplace.

Ducted natural gas heating provides warmth, while the 3.6kW solar panels help with energy efficiency.

Mel said she has had strong interest in the property since it hit the market.

“I showed 84 groups through the property, a combination of private inspections, small groups inspections and an open home on Saturday,” she said.

“We have now presented multiple offers to the owners.”

Dozens came out to view this family home.

Spacious and welcoming.

Mel said Moonah was really popular with a range of people, including first-home buyers, some second-home buyers and downsizers, too.

“The majority of the interest for this property was from first-home buyers looking for a family home,” she said.

This property is listed with Ripple Realty at “Offers over $420,000”.
