Competition from five bidders pushed the price for 12 Isabella St up to $943,000 at Saturday’s auction.
McGrath, Geelong agent Will Ainsworth said bidding “went off” as several buyers tried to secure the large 884sq m block with a three-bedroom house and separate bungalow.

“The successful bidders were a young family that live one street away,” Mr Ainsworth said.
“They just wanted to secure a great sized block near Pakington St.”
The reserve for the property had been set at $790,000.
