David Koch’s former East Killara is on the market with a $5.5 million guide.

THE former upper north shore home of Sunrise star David Kock is back up for sale after previously being listed in March this year.
It was a case of new job, new house for Kochie and his wife Libby, who purchased 139a Koola Ave in 2002 — the same year he started at the number one breakfast show on Australian television.

Records show that the couple paid $1.84 million for the property, before selling it in 2006 for $2.275 million to the current vendors.

Listed with Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty — Double Bay agent Mark Goldman and Barry Goldman, the property has a $5.5 million guide.
When it was listed at the start of the year, it had a price guide of $5.7 million-$6.2 million.
The Koola Ave home has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and parking for three and sits on 1378sqm of land.
Mr Goldman said the property was stunning with its northerly views of Garigal National Park.
“It’s an entertainer’s home, there is plenty of options to entertain here and most have fantastic views,” Mark Goldman said.
While Kochie no longer lives in the home, Mr Goldman said the property remains mostly in original condition, except for small minor touch ups and a fresh coat of paint.

Kochie purchased the property in the same year he began working on Sunrise.

With expressions of interest currently open, Mr Goldman expected the property to appeal to a large family or those with teenage kids.
