The circa-1898 terrace is set for auction on November 24.
The property at 7 Inverness Ave is scheduled for auction on November 24 with a $2.2-2.4 million price guide.
Ms Reid was drawn to the home’s original details when she bought it almost nine years ago.
“It was the high ceilings, the arches and the lovely period features,” she said.
The family had done cosmetic renovations to the property and it had been decorated with her signature style.
“It’s great to live in because it’s so solid and very easy to style and put furniture in,” Ms Reid said.
The grand Victorian, owned by interior designer Alexis Reid of Studio Stamp, has traditional formal rooms as well as beautifully styled modern living space.
A Sean-Godsell designed courtyard garden is to the rear.
The terrace has a commanding facade with ironwork and an etched glass entry. Inside, original details grace the front formal rooms while the modern, open-plan rear includes a stone kitchen and leads out to a courtyard designed by Sean Godsell.
Kay & Burton Armadale’s Andrew Smith said the property’s character and style made it a standout. “It’s a beautifully furnished, light and comfortable Victorian,” he said. “It really has a nice comfortable family feel — it’s not your shiny square box.”
78 Wattletree Rd, Armadale, is also on the market.
Elsewhere in Armadale, a striking architect-designed home at 78 Wattletree Rd has hit the market with a $2.3-$2.4 million price guide. It is set for auction on November 24.
“Stepping Stone House” by Craig Tan Architects features a distinctive facade, textured concrete walls and oak and marble finishes. It was short-listed in the 2017 Houses Awards.
22 Clarke St, Prahran, is another architect-designed pad up for grabs.
And in Prahran, “The White House” at 22 Clarke St, designed by architect Toby Reed of Nervegna-Reed, is set to go under the hammer on December 1 with a $2.7-2.9 million price guide.
