No. 29 Noble St in Five Dock sold for $2.48 million.

A FAMILY have snapped up a three-bedroom home on a 695sqm block in Five Dock over the weekend, splashing $2.48 million — $180,000 above the reserve in a mammoth result.
The home at 29 Noble St sold through Norman So and Simon Furnari of Belle Property Strathfield, with 80 groups inspecting the property mainly due to its corner block and potential for improvement.

The house had been updated over the years.

There were 10 registered bidders on the day, with strong bidding from four of them. It started at $2.15 million with a lot of interest from young families who loved the renovated interiors.
It was the first time the property had been offered to the market in 50 years, with the house having high ornate ceilings, period detailing, a granite kitchen and two classic bathrooms.

The family are sure to love the interiors.

“It is the future potential that makes properties like this one so popular,” Mr Furnari said.
“As long as they are well-presented they will hold value and always sell.”
Over in Croydon, a couple moving from the inner city have paid $1.25 million for a semi-detached over the weekend.
Despite attracting four registered bidders, selling agent Marco Errichiello of Rich and Oliva only needed two bids to sell the property at 225 Norton St.

The couple who bought it were attracted to the three bedrooms, location close to the station and renovated interiors which included a modern kitchen with living area.

The vendor was downsizing locally, having lived in the area for over a decade.
Bidding opened at $1.2 million before the winning bid of $1.25 million was placed.
On a 312sqm block, other features of the property include a covered deck for entertaining and landscaped gardens.
The last time it sold was in June 2009 for $600,000.
