FOOTY star turned property flipper Jamie Charman has sold his amazing New Farm home for $2.275 million.

Once regarded as one of the toughest tacklers in the AFL, these days, Charman sells houses for Ray White in Brisbane’s affluent inner north, but in his spare time, the former Brisbane Lions player designs and renovates his own.

This home at 21 Hawthorne St, New Farm, has sold.

He and wife Nicky, who owns designer fashion boutique, Calexico, spent a year renovating the jawdropping property at 21 Hawthorne Street.

It is the ninth property Charman has flipped.

“I’ve always had a passion for real estate,” Mr Charman told The Courier-Mail recently.

“I’ve mainly renovated old Queenslanders, so this one’s probably more modernised than what I’m used to doing.”

This house at 21 Hawthorne St, New Farm, was owned by Jamie Charman.

The Charmans bought the property in December 2016 for $1.15 million when it was just a rundown worker’s cottage, and set about transforming it into a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom architectural masterpiece.

Mrs Charman said the couple had originally bought and renovated the home with the aim of it becoming their forever home.

“Everything in the house was based on our family, but I suppose towards the end we just thought we’d prefer to live where we,” she said.

The Charmans have lived in their current home in Teneriffe for the past six years.

The home’s features include a large outdoor entertaining area with Travertine tiles, a pool, professionally landscaped gardens, a built-in barbecue, two separate large living spaces, American Oak flooring, a gourmet kitchen with Miele appliances and a butler’s pantry, and a 200-bottle wine cellar.
