FOUR years have passed since Josh Terrett and Charlotte Ekas found fame and fortune on reality home reno show The Block.

Fans will remember these two from Season 10, when they finished the competition as runners-up and pocketed $810,000 from the sale of their apartment.

‘Choc’ sells Dee Why home in just six days

About 10 months after they finished on the show, the couple bought their first home, a classic old apartment in Fairlight.

Simply stunning.

Plenty of space.

They didn’t move straight in though, opting to live with Charlotte’s parents in St Ives, while they undertook a massive renovation of the apartment.

This one took slightly longer than The Block — about six months — as they had to do the work between their day jobs.

An experienced carpenter and builder, Josh has his own company, JTDC (JT Design Construct), and works all over Sydney.

Charlotte is a Year One teacher at Manly West Public School. They were married late last year.

The reno included adding an extra bedroom and a new ensuite to the main bedroom, a new kitchen and an internal laundry.

The whole apartment has been opened up, to make the most of the district outlook, and offers complete privacy.

“It has the space to appeal to a young family, and is low maintenance, so will also suit young couples, professionals and downsizers,” Charlotte said.

Josh said it had taken some time to make the decision to sell, but they both felt the market conditions offered a good opportunity to upsize.

“You can definitely get more for your money at the moment,” he said.

“We absolutely love our apartment but we just want another project.”

The property is at 1/189 Sydney Rd, and is due to go to auction on June 1, at 2.45pm, with a guide of $1,150,000. It is open for inspection today from 1-1.30pm, and Georgi Bates, of Cunninghams Property, is marketing the apartment.
