MITCHELTON has made solid gains in the housing market with two properties in the top 10 list of recent house sales by property analyst CoreLogic.
Harcourts Property Centre took the four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 66 Kentville Street to auction where it sold for $853,000.

A five-bedroom house at 16 Wye St, Mitchelton sold for $818,000 through Denovans Real Estate Mitchelton.

“It was pretty much sold on the first weekend but it took the buyer a couple of weeks to get the contract in,” Denovans sales manager, Michael Mills said.
A second offer was made on the house in the meantime, however the property was sold to the first buyer 42 days after going on the market.
“One family had just moved up from Canberra, and another was local,’’ he said.
“The interstate buyer got the house.”


Mitchelton was the top growth suburb for house sales in the June quarter according to Real Estate Institute of Queensland figures.
Twenty-six house sales were recorded for the four months which was an increase of 6.2 per cent on the previous quarter.
