The Hamptons style is still in huge demand on the northern beaches.

Interest was so strong at the first open house that a second inspection day was organised for Sunday to allow families to inspect the home.

Brian and Corina Ward bought the north-to-rear block with plans already approved for a new Hamptons home. Their son Deeon is a builder with BHD Construction Group so the family was able to hit the ground running and build the house a previous owner had got passed through council.
Mr Ward explained that it was excellent experience for his son and everyone in the family had a hand in its interior.

“I went through so many Hamptons houses looking for bathroom tiles I liked,” she said.
In the end she plumped for a big blue and white floor tile that works especially well in the large main bathroom.
The customised kitchen has a gas Smeg oven, 60mm thick Caesarstone island benchtops and spotlight-style hanging lights.
Made to measure Western red cedar bifolds were installed from the lounge to the Travertine-tiled terrace which faces due north.

The sheer size of this house is a feature. In addition to the five bedrooms, there is a dedicated home office and a formal lounge that opens to a covered deck.
