JUST a year ago first-home buyers were locked out of the market, but they are expected to be in out in force at Baulkham Hills as two homes under the median price set to be auctioned.
A four-bedroom single level home at 115 Coronation Rd has been listed for sale with a price guide of $800,000 to $850,000, and will be the first to go under the hammer.
The second property at 6 Park Rd, located on a 765 sqm block with an in-ground swimming pool, has been given a price guide of $850,000. It will be auctioned an hour later.

Agent Darren Dowd from Ray White Baulkham Hills who is working on both sales said there has been strong interest with more than 100 inspections during the marketing campaign.
“We’ve had inquiries from everywhere, this has really drawn out investors and first home buyers as well as parents who want to try and help their children get into the market,’’ he said.

”We’ve had people asking if that is really what it will sell for – but you will not know unless you turn up and have a go.”
According to realestate.com.au, the properties have been among the most-viewed online during the past week.
Mr Dowd said both homes are of a similar age, believed to have be built around the 1960s, and have only had minor updates over the years.
”They still represent great value especially when you consider the cost of an apartment in the area,’’ Mr Dowd said.
Latest figures from CoreLogic RP Data show the median house price in Baulkham Hills is $1.185m with 342 sales recorded in the 12 months ending in July. The median unit price is $785,750 with 179 sales recorded in the same period.
Both homes are of a similar age with only minor upgrades
Disclosed sales under $900,000 in Baulkham Hills this year include 5 Caloola Place, a four-bedroom home on a 696 sqm block which sold for $852,000 and 4 Yetholme Ave, a three bedroom home also on a 696 sqm block which sold for $880,000.
Mr Dowd is expecting some bidders will try their luck at both auctions.
