273 Kelleys Beach Rd, Lake Fyans, appeared on House Rules last year.
A Victorian house that featured on reality renovation TV show House Rules is still seeking a buyer after passing in at auction, despite drawing a sizeable audience.
While the three-bedroom lifestyle home at 273 Kelleys Beach Rd, Lake Fyans, attracted a crowd of about 20-25 to its auction yesterday, they neglected to follow the auction rules.
Not a single one of them bid.
The home showcases a range of striking interior spaces.
Ray White’s Phillip Lee said the home passed in on a vendor bid of $500,000.
“We have quite a few leads to follow up on,” Mr Lee said.
“But it is now for sale in the $525,000-$575,000 price range.
“It’s one of those properties that will need someone looking for the lifestyle and who will enjoy the lake area.”
The bathroom comes with Caesarstone benchtops.
He will now talk with several prospective buyers who did not attend the auction, and others who saw the home in person for the first time on Saturday.
Owner Fiona Taylor came to fame as the token villain on House Rules sixth season last year, with the home getting a 24-hour overhaul as part of the program.
She said while she had hoped for a sale that would have set herself and her kids up for their next chapter, they could wait for things to progress.
Pendant lighting and floating timber floors provide aesthetic appeal in the kitchen.
“It will be for sale and I’ll wait for the right buyer,” Ms Taylor said.
“Life will continue as normal until it does sell. And when it does I can move on with the next chapter.”
The home is positioned to take in views to Lake Fyans across the road and the Grampians in the distance.
An expansive allotment provides plenty of space to enjoy outside as well as inside.
On an 8.284ha allotment, the house comes with high-end Smeg kitchen appliances, an open fireplace, bi-fold doors that open to a covered entertainment space, and Caesarstone benchtops in the kitchen and bathroom.
It is now available for private sale.
