43 Macgregor Ave, Portsea is nestled in a quiet spot on a cul-de-sac.

THE much-loved Portsea home of football and TV legend Lou Richards is set to tackle the market.
For more than two decades, Lou and Edna Richards lived at the 2400sq m, five-bedroom home at 43 Macgregor Ave most months — except during the football season in winter.
The Collingwood legend and regular on World of Sports and The Sunday Footy Show died last year and Edna in 2008, with his daughters now selling.

The property was a gathering place for the Richards clan, with uncle Ronnie and his family living a couple of streets away, said daughter Nicole Morrison.
“We had family gatherings at Christmas, Easter and other occasions after dad and mum bought the house when it was first built more than 30 years ago,” Ms Morrison said.
“They also extended and doubled the size of the house.”
Her best memories are of Christmas when “everyone would come down from Melbourne with presents and enjoy Christmas Day lunch” at the property.
The single-level house is set close to Shelley beach, had a full renovation last year and is ready to welcome new owners to enjoy a “sophisticated beach style”, Ms Morrison said.

“Positioned in a coveted no-through road, this cherished beachside escape on more than half an acre is certain to create memories that will last a lifetime.”
The rendered brick house offers a main bedroom with an ensuite, living and family and dining areas, a rumpus room and separate accommodation wings ideal for large or extended families.
