Model and actor Megan Gale and her ex-AFL playing fiance Shaun Hampson appear set to turn heads in Glen Iris.
Public records have revealed the former host of Project Runway Australia and judge on Australia’s Next Top Model and her retired footballer partner bought the beautiful, four-bedroom house in the leafy eastern suburb for $3.12 million in September last year.
It marks the end of an almost two-year house hunt that had the pair checking out homes since 2017.
Hampson, who notched 98 games with Richmond, retired a few months prior to the recent purchase due to back problems.
Gale’s most recent film credits include The Water Diviner and Mad Max: Fury Road.
In 2017 she sold an Aberfeldie house a street back from the Maribyrnong River in Melbourne’s north west for $2.967 million.
In February last year she hinted they would build a new home.
Hampson and Gale announced their engagement the same year and have two children together — River, 4, and Rosie, 1.
The pair have been renting in neighbouring Malvern East.
Their new Glen Iris home features an eye-catching facade framed by lush lawns and hedges at the front.
To the rear of the property’s 858sq m block a heated pool and a separate studio — or potential home gym — would have formed part of the appeal to the health and fitness-conscious pair.
Inside, the family will enjoy multiple living areas, including one warmed by an open fireplace, and a dining area that could also serve as a billiards room.
The kitchen has stone benchtops, AEG ovens and multiple fridges.
It is close to parks, schools and public transport.
Marshall White Stonnington director James Tostevin and agent Jason Brinkworth handled the sale.
They could not discuss the sale, but said the property was quite unique and one of a select few quality homes being listed for sale at the time.
