THERE’S plenty of opportunity to embrace outdoor living at Metricon’s Sovereign 50, which has three separate alfresco spaces where you can just relax and breathe in the serenity.
A generous balcony terrace off the main bedroom enhances what Metricon design manager Ricky D’Alesio described as a “grand hotel-style suite”.
And there are two alfresco areas downstairs — one designed as a lounge space with a fireplace, and the other, an outdoor dining area.
“The outdoor rooms are integrated with the kitchen, dining and family rooms, providing the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living,” Mr D’Alesio said.
A comfy spot to enjoy the outdoors.
The home caters for large families by offering multiple indoor living areas across both levels, including a family room in the rear open-plan living hub, a theatre room, a formal lounge with feature fireplace, and a leisure area upstairs.
This inviting family room shares space with the kitchen and dining area.
Made for relaxing: the theatre room.
A fireplace graces the formal living room, at the front of the house.
The main bedroom gets special treatment. It has a lavish ensuite with floor-to-ceiling tiling, freestanding bath and large suspended double vanity. It also has a substantial fitted walk-in wardrobe with built-in dressing table.
But the secondary bedrooms don’t miss out. Each one also has an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe — an indulgence older children will fully appreciate.
Dream on … the main bedroom.
A freestanding bath crowns the luxurious ensuite.
Built-in joinery in the family room, theatre room, study and main bedroom provides “practical, yet striking storage solutions and focal points” and allows for a stylishly streamlined set-up. There are also built-in desks in one of the secondary bedrooms and the study.
The study, which features oodles of practical joinery.
Various features give the designer kitchen impact, including one above your head.
“In the past, we have generally created really large island bench spaces, but with this home we needed to be very smart with our space, so we created geometric interest by making a real feature of the bench space with a dropped timber-lined ceiling above it,” Mr D’Alesio said.
A similar approach has been adopted in the main bedroom and via timber-lined ceilings in both outdoor rooms.
Other kitchen strengths include a cream-coloured stone island bench with a raised breakfast bar in contrasting timber-tone laminate, and a large butler’s pantry with adjacent laundry.
A timber-lined ceiling is a striking inclusion.

The home has been designed to fit on blocks as narrow as 14m wide and incorporates creative design elements to maximise an airy feel.
“The tinted mirror splashbacks help magnify the impact of external views and vistas and maximise and reflect available natural light,” Mr D’Alesio said.
“The use of mirrors also helps to give the impression of spaciousness and depth.”
