A ROSTREVOR home offers an unsurpassed level of luxury and comes pre-loaded with virtually everything you could need for family living and entertaining, its builders say.
Kamal and Sippy Grewal, with Sippy’s brother Gippy, built the home through Alaxia homes, sparing no expense on the masterpiece that was only finished in February.
Gippy Grewal says the home is jam-packed with luxury features throughout and offers an enviable lifestyle.

“We used to go and see all these display homes, and when we set out to build we wanted to live in a home where we would always be in awe of it,” he says.
“Basically we wanted everything in it. It is very luxurious – I used to joke with my brother that he’s like a kid who’s gone to a toy shop. He wants everything, and I think he got it. During the construction stage if he saw something new or exciting he tried to include it.”

Mr Grewal says, as well as being beautiful, the home is also functional.
“It’s beautiful to live in and it is luxurious, but it’s also very comfortable,” Mr Grewal says.
“When we designed the home we wanted all the living areas to have an element of comfort – so there’s a gas heater in the master bedroom upstairs and that same heater heats the balcony as well.”

The home has four bedrooms and is designed for open-plan living. The kitchen, which opens out to a family room, features a striking breakfast bar, electronic drawers, Miele appliances and an in-built aquarium.

“The kitchen bench is Onyx stone and it’s hand-laid and joined together with resin, and that allows the light to pass through the agate features,” Mr Grewal says.
“The dining table is the same and we have an LED illuminated strip under it as well which gives a really good effect.”
Outside, the home has an alfresco area complete with an outdoor kitchen with a Beefeater barbecue, a Smeg gas cooktop and a Miele dishwasher. It overlooks an inground magnesium pool with a retractable deck and electric heating. Nearby is a cedar wood sauna, and an outdoor shower with a powder room.

“The alfresco area, with the outdoor kitchen, is where we spent more of our time,” Mr Grewal says.
“With the huge 8m bifold doors it opens up to the one area if you want to. It’s great for entertaining, especially with the retractable deck over the pool. It’s got a huge capacity in terms of how many people it can fit because it’s been engineered to hold four tonnes.
“Everyone who comes over enjoys the home – people can’t believe this level of quality can be achieved.”

The no-expense-spared build features a raft of technical additions, including electronic toilets, light-up mirrors, solar panels, glass fireplaces, a security system with fingerprint ID, LED lighting and light strips in the bulkhead ceilings.
“It would suit people who want to live life and enjoy it, but it’s really ideal for families with children – it could cater to a range of buyers,” Mr Grewal says.
“We’ll miss almost everything – it’s a beautiful house, but we’re selling because we have plans to move interstate.”
