There is a warm wind coming to Dee Why. Zephyr launches this weekend.
JUST when you thought Dee Why was full of units another large apartment block is being unveiled this weekend.
Zephyr is a hotel-style block with 71 units, themed communal areas for entertaining and private cinemas.
One of the communal areas is called ‘Zephyr inspire’ and is aimed at residents who work from home. The open area will have Wi-Fi, hot desks and speakers so people can work in an office environment without leaving the block.
A second called ‘Zephyr date night’ is a romantic setting within the complex and there is also ‘Zephyr social’ for entertaining and ‘Zephyr kids’, a mini playground for children in the complex.

Sahar Ayubi, of Gannet Developments, said while the six-level development doesn’t have a swimming pool or gym it does focus on lifestyle.
Zephyr consists of New-York style units on the corner of Delmar Pde and Pittwater Rd in a building that was once a NAB office building.
The corner block launches this weekend, Saturday October 20 and Sunday 21, with the first 20 units in the complex being offered off the plan. The completion date for the block is 2020.
The northern beaches suburb has this month seen residents move into the largest unit development in the suburb. The 17-storey Lighthouse has more than 350 units set over four buildings.

And this week plans went to council for another 130 units on Fisher Rd on the site of ridge line land formerly held by the Salvation Army for 124 years.
Dee Why has more than 500 unit sales a year and the median price is $767,000, according to CoreLogic.
The Zephyr complex consists of one and two bedroom apartments with prices between $499,000 and $1,089 million.

In addition some of the one-bedroom units have private cinemas.
Ms Ayubi said the New York style units are spacious and sophisticated and will attract investors and first home buyers.
“Netflix and chill just got way better, these one plus cinema apartments include a projector, or choose to make other use of this creative space such as a guest room, nursery or media room,” she said.
