Mt Martha marvel made of limestone has multimillion-dollar price hopes

Written by The ReReport

Made from about $1 million worth of limestone, this contemporary pad in triple-A Mt Martha is one of a kind.

McEwing & Partners director Dean Phillips said the vendors had owned the 2173sq m landholding at 80 Bradford Rd since the ’80s.

They’d “completely rebuilt” an older home that used to occupy the site using materials imported from India, he said.

The two-storey, five-bedroom abode is now being sold privately with a $5.25-$5.75 million price guide.

It was crafted to maximise a spectacular bay outlook to Arthurs Seat and Dromana.

“It’s like something out of the Mediterranean,” Mr Phillips said.

“There isn’t a better view on the Peninsula.”

The infinity pool and spa “seemingly (spill) into the bay”, and are flanked by a bluestone terrace that’s accessible from the house’s two large living areas.

The kitchen features a 6m stone island bench and premium Gaggenau, Smeg and Miele appliances.

Other striking features include the main bedroom with an ensuite and terrace access, a wine cellar, home office, games room and self-contained two-bedroom apartment.
