It appeared to be a last-minute decision for Barr and Thompson to list their Mosman home, after they put it on the market right at the end of the spring selling season.

The property has been owned by Barr and her family for close to three years, after they paid $3.225 million for it in 2016.

They are believed to still be looking for their next home now their current one is sold.

The Network Seven star’s home isn’t the only brekkie newsreader to make moves in the property game, as rival breakfast show host Georgie Gardner is set to get the keys to her new Mosman home after paying around $6 million in October.

The single level Federation home has landscaped gardens and combines restored original details with modern updates.

Open-plan at the rear, the family room and kitchen overlook the wraparound entertainer’s deck and level lawn.

Features include a double lockup garage and workshop, underfloor heated bathrooms, ducted reverse-cycle airconditioning and a Jetmaster gas fireplace.

Ms Barr has been part of Sunrise for the past 16 years after joining the program as its inaugural newsreader.

The West Australian native has been part of Seven News since 1994 and has previously worked in Los Angeles with a number of television stations.

Her husband, Andrew, is a television commercial editor.
