A YOUNG New Zealand family has decided to cross the Tasman Sea and make the move to Geelong after snapping up a property at auction.
The family may not have seen 6 Richmond St in person but the photos online sold it to them.
They hired buyers advocate Tony Slack to bid at auction for them and he secured the property for $722,500 over one other bidder.
Mr Slack said the buyers had been looking for a property to buy in Geelong for a couple of months and had finally sold their house in New Zealand enabling them to purchase here.
“They are moving here for the lifestyle Geelong offers,” he said.
They will easily be able to enjoy the lifestyle as the property they have bought is in a central Geelong location with an oval across the road and it is walking distance to the Geelong CBD, Kardinia Park, cafes and shops.
