The new owner of 2/11 Corang Ave, Grovedale only discovered the property two days before its auction.
A CHANCE discovery two days out from auction has led to a nurse buying a sought-after Grovedale unit.
McGrath, Geelong agent Egle Skridulis said the new owner of 2/11 Corang Ave only saw the online listing on Thursday and inspected it for the first time just before Saturday’s auction.
She paid $379,000 for the two-bedroom unit which attracted competition from three other owner-occupiers who were downsizing.
The unit attracted interest from several downsizers.

Strong bidding pushed the sale above the $320,000 to $350,000 expected price range.
Ms Skirdulis said there were also several investors in the crowd who opted to keep their hands down.
“She saw it only online on Thursday and asked for the section 32 on Friday,” she said.
“She came half an hour prior to the auction to see it and outbid the rest of them.”
She said the location close to the Epworth Geelong Hospital was the biggest selling point.
The unit is one of only two in its complex and has a spacious open-plan living area, single garage and private rear garden.
