A grand property with outstanding views is set to beat the house price record in Oak Park.
The four-bedroom house at 126 Devereaux St has a price tag of $2.15-$2.35 million.
It has the potential to break the benchmark set by 6 Watt Ave, which sold for $1.455 million according to CoreLogic data.
It will head under the hammer on April 6.
Jellis Craig agent Simon Mason said it was one of the most prestigious homes to sell in the area.
“It was a labour of love for the owner,” Mr Mason said.
“It has larger than normal living zones, huge outdoor spaces and uninterrupted views.
“It is one of the best contemporary homes we have had the pleasure of selling.”
The three-storey property has direct parkland access and a panoramic outlook from the living room, entertainment areas and bedrooms.
Quality features include a gas log fireplace, home theatre, salt-chlorinated pool and a top-deck heated spa to soak in the scenery.
The lift provides access to the three-car garage while a Tasmanian oak staircase, leather-finished granite waterfall island bench and a range of integrated appliances, including from Miele, sweeten the deal.
A white decor with striking matt-black and timber finishes, plus plenty of modern amenities, adds to the appeal.
Mr Mason said the vendor was in the construction industry and had a clear vision of a family environment in mind.
He said they were planning on living there but were now considering other project options.
“When you walk through you get a sense of the attention to detail and the design intricacies they’ve tried to focus on,” Mr Mason said.
“Not only for their needs but the future market they want to cater to.
“When you consider the size of the home it is of extremely good value in comparison to surrounding suburbs.
“The location and new feel really stand out.”
The median house sale price in Oak Park was $810,000 in the 12 months to December, according to Corelogic.
The data shows 64 houses sold during that period.
