IT IS taking buyers a bit longer to come to grips with the $7 million-plus price tag for a coastal masterpiece in the heart of Ocean Grove.
The Mark Le Maistre designed and built house at 91 Orton St is now available for private sale after the expressions of interest campaign came to an end last Friday.
Fletchers, Queenscliff agent Liam Rock said there were two groups interested in the showstopping property.

“They weren’t in a position to buy before Christmas, we will be going ahead as a private sale,” Mr Rock said.
The stunning six-bedroom, four-level house with rooftop spa and waterslide into the pool was built about four years ago and has featured on Best Houses Australia.
It took Mark Le Maistre a day and a half to draw up the plans for the vacant block of land.
“It was the best block in Ocean Grove so we needed to honour it and we wanted it to be the ultimate entertainers house but also create something a little bit unique and special,” Mr Le Maistre told the Geelong Advertiser when the property was first listed for sale.
The luxury house is built on a double block of 1275sq m and has spectacular water views.
Features inside include a waterfall in the entrance foyer, glass lift, theatre room, gym, six bedrooms, two kitchens and three separate loungerooms, all connected via bridges, creating voids throughout the house.
There is also a 20m swimming pool that is heated to 30 degrees all year with a waterslide, TV from England that is weatherproof and has antiglare technology, full cricket pitch, basketball court, trampoline, gas fireplace and barbecue area.
