AN opulent European-style manor house set among productive olive groves has hit the market in a premium Bellarine Peninsula patch.

The luxury residence is the centrepiece of the 18ha lifestyle property, Manzanillo Grove, on the outskirts of Drysdale.

With more than 600sq m of living space, the two-storey house is big enough to rival most modern-day blocks and is surrounded by acres of ornamental gardens.

The property, at 150 Whitcombes Rd, Drysdale is also home to three one-bedroom cottages and a cellar door that paves the way for a tourism venture.

It has been the base for a successful olive producing operation, but the business is not part of the multi million-dollar sale.

Charles Stewart, Geelong agent Andrew Rice said everything about the property was impressive.

He said the addition of the recently constructed cottages opened the door to a range of possibilities.

“It is lovely and you have got 45 acres with a big house and three cottages in a great location,” Mr Rice said.

“It’s only a couple of kilometres from Drysdale.”

An imposing split staircase in the entry sets the tone for the four-bedroom house which has formal dining and loungerooms, a billiard room with a bar and a separate living room with french doors onto a paved outdoor entertainment area and in-ground spa.

The main bedroom suite upstairs has a huge ensuite with a spa bath overlooking the private gardens.

The cottages, all with an open-plan design, have views over an ornamental dam.

Other outbuildings include a machinery shed and workshop area, with a town water connection complementing tank supplies.
