ALL the hard work has been done on a special piece of land up for sale for the first time in more than 30 years.
Named The Headland by property marketers Jones Lang LaSalle, who successfully sold Dunk Island this year to Mayfair 101, the 6.73ha site lies in a real estate paradise.
It sits atop a grassy, tree-fringed knoll at the southern boundary of Buchan Point, overlooking Palm Cove jetty and just minutes from the premier Cairns holiday suburb.
JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group senior vice-president Tom Gibson said The Headland was the only site of its kind on the east coast of Australia.
“The Headland is one of the last remaining absolute beachfront development sites along the east coast of Queensland,” he said.
“All the right approvals are in place. All that is needed is a vision, and the possibilities extend as far as the horizon.
“There are three unique approvals in place that are unlikely to be repeated. The Queensland economy and tourism industry are thriving, with a record number of private and public infrastructure projects underway in Cairns and Brisbane. Tourism in Queensland has benefited greatly from this investment and has recorded its strongest growth over the past decade.”
The approvals include one for a 107-suite luxury resort with 18 two and three-bedroom apartments, reception, restaurant, bar and spa, another for a multi-unit development consisting of 51 two-bedroom units and 71 three- bedroom units and a 27-lot residential subdivision with land parcels ranging from 802 to 1319 sqm.
The Headland is for sale via expressions of interest due by 4pm on November 27. Contact Tom Gibson on 0437 538 888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .com; or Elliott O’Shea on 0413 838 717 or email email@example.com for more information.
