A just-completed penthouse development in Kurraba Point is poised to test the lower north shore’s apartment record.

The Norfolk Residences will offer four whole-floor apartments priced between $10 million and $12 million.

At this price point they are likely to break the current lower north shore apartment price record, set by the sale of a penthouse in the Cremorne Point Estate for $11 million in July.

The development’s launch later this month comes at a time when the prestige market continues to defy trends.

The Norfolk Group, along with PopovBass Architects, have spared no expense on the Kurraba Rd project.

All penthouses come with views, foreshore access, and the latest innovations, including car lifts and smart technology.

Cashed up executives are expected to be the main buyers, Luke Hayes, of LT Property said.

“Most of our clientele are locals who are either ex-CEOs or are at the end of their career and are looking for that high-end lockup and leave property,” he said.

These buyers are expected to be locals downsizing from the north shore and even the eastern suburbs.

Feedback has been strong, with a couple of buyers already coming back for second and third looks. The apartments are fully finished and are ready to move in.

“We hope to have someone in here by New Year’s to enjoy the fireworks,” he said.

Mr Hayes said the penthouses were unlike anything seen on the lower north shore to date.

“This is absolute waterfront, and it’s a big point of difference from other top apartment sales in the area, that have been set back from the water,” he said.

The automated car lift will take your car directly to your private garage, with lift access to your home.

“It is very private, you actually will never have to see your neighbours if you don’t want to,” Mr Hayes said.

The three-bedroom penthouses will have 300sqm of space and have been designed with natural materials to ensure they don’t date.

Inside, PopovBass Architects has mixed high-end finishes with Elba marble, limestone and oak.

The kitchens will have a butler’s pantry and a unique sculptural centrepiece, plus ‘floating’ shelves.

Other features include large balconies, internal lift, airconditioning, Cbus smart systems and plenty of storage.

It is located right beside Kurraba Point wharf which allows you to get to Circular Quay in 10 minutes.
