A popular Terrigal property has recently sold in just nine days for $1.2 million, smashing the street record by $205,000.
According to selling agent Matthew Farrugia from LJ Hooker Terrigal the four-bedroom property at 12 Chantell St was a hit because it was all on one level and a flat walk to the beach.
“You could access Terrigal beach via Ena St, which is dead level. The property was also recently renovated and had a great entertainment area,” he said.

Mr Farrugia said that the buyers – a family from Sydney – had needed to put in a contract offer due to the property being an auction campaign.
“We had a price guide of $1 million, so the offer was strong,” he said.

“They could have afforded something in Sydney, especially with the market decline, but they were looking for a lifestyle change.
“I’ve had lot of vendors concerned about dips in the market, but this sale shows that there are still lots of buyers out there – the property just needs to be priced properly, and a strong marketing campaign helps.”
