A PULLENVALE property has changed hands for the first time in 28 years as the market remains steady.

Three written offers were received for the 6.41ha property, after it passed in at auction in early October.

McGrath Estate Agents Paddington agent Reuben Packer-Hill said 21 groups of people inspected the house at 96 Haven Rd, before it sold to a family for $1,580,000.

“They were a family who were renting locally,” the agent said.

“Their favourite part of the property was that it was a large parcel of land with plenty of room for the kids to run around.”

It is the only property on Haven Rd to sell this year, with just one selling in 2017, at No. 166 for $1.1 million.

The house had five bedrooms, six bathrooms, wine cellar, pool and tennis court.

Mr Packer-Hill said the market in Pullenvale was holding steady at present.

“We haven’t seen much change in the Pullenvale market in the last six to 12 months,” he said.

“Well-presented and appropriately priced properties will always be in strong demand.”

According to CoreLogic data, there had been 44 house sales in Pullenvale in the 12 months to September.

The agent said in particular, there was demand for family homes.

“We are working with a large number of buyers still looking to secure family-friendly acreage. Ideally these are lowset homes with good flow of space, and the ability to keep an eye on the children playing in the backyard, or pool, from the house.”
