Jenny Malin and her husband have created a masterpiece of style, luxury and family comfort that has been the perfect place to raise their three sons, now 15, 13 and 11.


They fell ion love with the property at 16 Fairy Bower Rd, some 15 years ago, and could see beyond the tired old cottage. But it was also important for them to keep some of its mark, so they retained the original home’s footprint.
“We wanted to build a home that was family friendly, with a contemporary coastal feel and a bit of luxury,” Mrs Malin said.

The home has exceeded their expectations, and the close-knit neighbourhood has turned out to be the icing on the cake.
“It is a beautiful, quiet street and the kids play together, from house to house — it’s very much an open door policy,” she said.
“And I am so lucky because both of my best friends are my neighbours (one lives on each side of her home). I am definitely going to miss being that close to them.”
Her other favourite is her top floor bedroom, which has a northeast-facing balcony taking in the ocean and St Patrick’s Estate.

But life has taken this family of five on a new adventure.
They have a holiday home in Byron Bay and decided to move up there for a year to complete a renovation of the property.

“We never came home (to Manly),” Ms Malin said.
And so the time has come to sell their two-level Manly home. Which is great news for buyers, as properties do not often come up for sale in this pocket of Manly.
