A dilapidated house in Gladesville sold at auction on Saturday morning for $1.495 million.
The three-bedroom house at 20 Sunnyside St was snapped up by a local family looking to renovate and move in, beating out six other registered bidders.
Original feedback had been between $1.3 million and $1.4 million, according to selling agent Michael Gallina of Belle Property, with bidding kicking off at $1.32 million.
The house hadn’t sold since the 1950s and hasn’t been lived in for 15 years.
“It was a really good result and strong sale for the street,” Mr Gallina said. “The owners are very happy.”
