IT DID not take long for buyers to pounce on an 1854 Victorian terrace on the waterfront in Geelong.
Six offers were received for 12 Western Beach Rd and it ended up selling for $1.19 million well above the price guide of $1.05 million to $1.1 million.
McGrath, Geelong agent David McGuiness said it had only been on the market for a week when they found a buyer but it took a while to get finance and everything organised.

“I had nearly 60 inspections there and received six offers, three in the range and three that were above the range,” Mr McGuiness said.
The property sold to local buyers that plan on renovating the property before moving in.
“They are going to change the floorplan around a little bit and open it up,” he said.

The historic terrace is across the road from the water and is walking distance to the CBD.
The ground floor consists of the living areas while upstairs are three bedrooms. There is also a double garage at the back of the property with rear lane access.
The median house price in Geelong is $720,000, according to CoreLogic.
