Some views are worth waking up for. We reckon this is one of the best this morning.

WHETHER you like horseriding, quad biking, playing soccer or relaxing in a cigar and scotch room, there’s room for you at 15 Fletcher Close, Camp Mountain.
This four-year-old homestead was built by Kylie and Wayne McGauley to keep their four boys entertained while they enjoyed the quiet country life less than half an hour from Brisbane.

Recycled timbers have been used throughout the house.

“We lived in Samford, then we moved to The Gap area and then we came back to Samford,” Mrs McGauley said.
“We wanted to give our kids that acreage, wide open space feel with plenty of room.”

While they leave the property to move closer to Brisbane Airport for work, Mrs McGauley hopes another family that values a country upbringing will take over the home.

A place to relax, swim and explore the outdoors.

“Three of our neighbours have horses and cattle,’’ she said.
“Our neighbours have said to us they don’t want us to move, but if someone came along who liked horses and having a beer, they’d fit right in.”
Belle Property Samford is taking 15 Fletcher Close to market with expressions of interest closing on November 15.

The 461sq m of internal space is bigger than many blocks of land in inner Brisbane.

There are five bedrooms at 15 Fletcher Close, with the main in its own wing of the house.

That, combined with the 1.5 hectare grounds with views to the mountains, makes for a lot of property to fit in to.
A kitchen and bar area open on to a covered entertaining area and adjoining inground pool.

The salt water pool with Canary Island palm trees.

The cigar and scotch room is hiding behind a giant barn door just off the entrance.

The barn door and main entrance.

“But the hub of the house is the kitchen and entertaining area,’’ she said.
“I can stand at the kitchen bench with the bifolds open and I’m still part of the conversation.
“It’s all very seamless.”

Be part of the conversation while experimenting in the kitchen.

The property has two 22,000 litre water tanks plumbed into the house and a bore is used to water the gardens.

We call this our Monday muse. Have a great week looking for your new home!
