Few locals would know this home has extensive gardens
One of Glenhaven’s most elevated estates surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens has sold for $2.45 million.
The property, on the corner of Old Northern and Gilbert roads, is tucked out of view from passing traffic on a 0.4ha block.
One of the features is a semi-enclosed solar heated swimming pool with remote controlled blinds on the sides that can be opened during the summer months. There is also an alfresco area with outdoor kitchen.
The home is set back from Old Northern Rd
Agent Brad Wheatley from Brad Wheatley Real Estate said it took some time to find the buyer due to changing market conditions and the property’s limited access from Old Northern Rd.
“On the other hand, the property does have amazing views, a high position, it is close in to Castle Hill and there is transport on your doorstep,” he said.
“This property was set well back from the road and very high up on an incline which limits noise.
“The home has soft glass so inside its very quiet.”
The outlook from the home stretches to the Blue Mountains
A circular driveway leads to a porte-cochere at the front door.
At the rear there is new merbau decking which has a glass balustrade overlooking tiered English styled gardens.
There are three automated watering systems, a garden shed and quadruple garage.
“It’s a lovely spot out the back and they have set-up a table and chair where you can just sit and take in the lawn and the gardens,” Mr Wheatley said.
The property’s offers four queen size bedrooms with ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes. The parent’s retreat has its own ensuite featuring blackwood cabinetry and Caesarstone countertops.
About 60 qualified groups inspected the home privately during its 12-month period on the market. It was bought by a family from Sydney’s west who were looking to move closer to family in The Hills area.
The pool is partially enclosed with electric blinds that can be opened during the warmer months
