THE prestigious Noble St in Newtown has been revealed as Geelong’s most popular street.
The exclusive location beat out two Belmont streets to be named the top viewed street based on realestate.com.au property views over the last three years.
Streets in Ocean Grove, Torquay, Highton, Anglesea, Hamlyn Heights and Queenscliff round out the top 10 most viewed streets.
Whitford, Newtown agent Tony Young said there were some very grand homes in Noble St.
“I am a massive fan of Noble St, especially the top end,” Mr Young said.
“You are right at the top of the hill with potential outlooks from north-facing rear yards and it is very quiet and private, it is just exceptional.
“People don’t use Noble St at that end as a feeder to anywhere, it is private and exclusive and there are some magnificent homes there.
“People are paying a lot of money for land and a lot of money to build very high quality properties.”

Mr Young said one of the reasons why Noble St would get searched a lot was because of the quality of the homes.
“People want to see them even though they might not necessarily be able to afford them, they create a lot of interest,” he said.
Newtown residents Rod and Maritza Hall moved to the area in 1985 from Melbourne and haven’t looked back.
They were not surprised Noble St was listed as the most popular.
“There are huge blocks at the top end of the street with beautiful houses,” Mr Hall said.
Meanwhile Francis St and Roslyn Rd in Belmont also rank high on the list of most viewed streets.
Buxton, agent David Gray said the types of home people have the opportunity to buy on those streets are pretty desirable.
“There are a lot of big properties in terms of land size and historical homes with weatherboards or clinker bricks,” Mr Gray said.
“Buyers are realising the value across the river and that the lifestyle is the same.”
