The luxurious look and feel of a Manhattan apartment has helped inspire the design of Orbit Homes’ Daintree 28.

This is a home that clearly shows family living can be stylish.

“Timeless, elegant finishes, such as brass and porcelain, are paired effortlessly with modern finishes, such as a glass splashback and handleless cabinetry, for this home’s lavish look,” Orbit Homes interior designer Zoe McGregor said.

She nominated her favourite feature as the textured cabinetry combined with black stone in the bathrooms and kitchen, which added depth and sophistication.

“The dark finishes definitely underpin the luxe theme of the home,” she said.

Families will like the fact each of the four bedrooms has a walk-in wardrobe and will also undoubtedly enjoy the choice of living areas — a formal living room at the front, an open-plan family room at the rear, and an outdoor room.

Orbit Homes product development manager Ian Pumpa said the well-considered floorplan enabled family members to enjoy both personal space and shared space.

“This home definitely appeals to growing families,” Mr Pumpa said.

A timber-look tiled entry wall extends down the front passage, creating a welcoming ambience.

At the very front of the home, the formal living room is open to the hallway, which gives a sense of spaciousness when you cross the threshold.

“The formal living room is positioned well away from the family room, creating enough separation so both the home’s living spaces can be used without having an issue of noise transfer between the two,” Mr Pumpa said.

The main bedroom is near the front of the home, with the entry to the room’s ensuite cleverly located off the walk-in wardrobe to accentuate privacy.

The kitchen is part of the open-plan communal space that also marries the meals and family areas for easy modern living.

An ideal showpiece for entertaining, the kitchen features an eye-catching black stone-topped bench with waterfall end and a black undermount sink with matt-black tap.

It also has a black glass splashback, stainless-steel appliances and timber-look joinery.

Plenty of storage is a feature, including a large walk-in pantry cleverly tucked away so it’s out of direct view.

Adding to the home’s entertaining readiness is the alfresco area, where rendered walls create a harmonious link between the outdoor and interior living spaces.

The cedar-lined ceiling here introduces extra character and warmth and ties in beautifully with timber highlights throughout the home’s interior scheme and on the facade.

The home comes in a choice of 10 facades, with the Resort on display at Wollert.
