Downsizers know a good thing when they see it, so it was no surprise when they flocked to a slick Fairlight home with epic views.
Sam Raso, of Cunninghams Property, said a tri-level apartment, at 1/53 Fairlight St, attracted plenty of attention from a high number of mature buyers — before it sold for $2.65 million.
The 360-degree views were a big drawcard, and in the end it was a downsizer from Manly coming out of a house, who snapped it up.
“It is a unique complex and feels like a freestanding house with a huge terrace,” he said.
“We had a lot of downsizers come and look at the apartment.
“Downsizers are the ones who can make quick decisions, they are cashed up, ready to go and can get some good deals.”
Buyers were drawn to the listing which stated that the unit is ‘just a short stroll to Fairlight Beach, the rockpool and the Manly Scenic Walkway’.
“This apartment is extremely well connected to everything the Manly Harbourside lifestyle has to offer,” it read.
“With Manly Wharf and it’s transport links, as well as the buzzing cafe and restaurant scene just around the corner this amazing apartment is not to be missed.
“While the interior of this residence is enough to impress almost anyone, the impressive 201sqm sun-soaked rooftop terrace takes this property to another level.
“With breathtaking 360-degree views, including over most of Manly to the ocean, out to the Heads, Dobroyd Head, Sydney’s skyline and the distant local district, this spectacular open space is the prized feature of this address.
“This area also includes a powder room and has been DA-approved for a rooftop cabana.”
