My first home was at run down two storey renovator that was without doubt the worst house on the best street.
It was a real stretch for me to buy a canal home at the time, but I knew I wanted to be on the water.

To describe it as being in a state of “disrepair” would be overly charitable to the dwelling. It had been tenanted and the pool could have been mistaken for a swamp.

My current home is in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
