Inspired by traditional Parisian apartments, this large flat takes its design cues from the Art Deco era without compromising on space.

The Clarence St home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with high ceilings and unique cornicing that is reminiscent of historic Parisian apartments.

Thomas Hamel was the architect and has created a space that feels elegant and light-filled.

The CBD apartment was originally two, however, Hamel joined them together to make a more spacious home set over 184sqm.

Luxurious features can be found throughout the home including oak floorboards, a marble kitchen with Smeg appliances, Bose surround sound and double glazed windows to keep the outside noise to a minimum.

Two separate living spaces make it well suited to a family who may sometimes enjoy hanging out in the kitchen area and informally eating, but also enjoy a more refined setting in the living room next to the eco fireplace.

The apartment sits in a high-end complex with amenities including a rooftop tennis court and barbecue area, pool and spa – perfect for entertaining.

Listing agent Adrian Oddi, Bresic Whitney says the home is attracting a variety of buyers.

“People based in Sydney and are looking to downsize, families from the inner west who would like to access schools in the eastern suburbs, and there’s also some international interest as well.”

The price guide is $3.7m for the home and it will go to auction on 16 November at 3pm.
