AN unfinished renovation project in an increasingly popular pocket of Belmont will be going under the hammer on Saturday.
The house at 2 Highmont Drive has been stripped back to bare bones, extended and is now ripe for renovation.
Some of the renovation has already been completed with a new kitchen and bathroom installed but there is still a lot of work to do to complete the house.

Barry Plant, Highton agent Kieron Hunter said the unfinished renovation project had attracted strong interest from buyers that could see its potential.
“I have had 80 people through and it will be a really interesting one,” Mr Hunter said.
“He has done some of the work but it needs about $70,000 spent on it.”
The house is on 650sq m of land and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two large living areas plus a covered outdoor entertainment area.
It is a short drive to Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre, Deakin University and the Surf Coast is a 20 minute drive away.
The property will go to auction on Saturday at 11.30am with price hopes of $430,000-$450,000.
It is one of 50 properties going under the hammer this weekend.
